The Department of Special Investigation Conducted a Big Raid
Seized 218,292 Items in Bangkok Metropolitan Areas
On 30th October 2017, the Department of Special Investigation obtained search warrants number 635/2560 and number 636/2560 issued on 30th October 2017 by the Central Intellectual Property and International trade Court to search in three suspected places as follow:
1. Suncary Co., Ltd. No. 114 Soi wiwat wiang, samphanthawong, Samphanthawong district, Bangkok
2. House No. 223/22-23 Soi Somdet Chaopraya 9/A, Somdet Chaopraya Road, Somdet Chaopraya Kholngsarn district, Bangkok
3. House No. 568/155 Soi Charoen Nakhon 8, Khlong Ton Sai, Khlong San district, Bangkok.
The officials found an infringing activity and arrested a suspect. 182,192 counterfeit glasses and 36,100 tax-evaded glasses worth more than 40 million Thai Baht were seized.
